Murex Diagnostic Products Specialists (MDPS) understands the importance and sensitivity of your personal data; hence, we are committed to protect your personal and sensitive information in accordance with Republic Act No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (“DPA”) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations. This Privacy Policy embodies how we may collect, use, and disclose your personal data or sensitive information as well as your rights as owners of this personal data. The entire MDPS work force including organizations affiliated with MDPS are committed to follow this Privacy Policy.

Data we collect from you

Application or Service request form

MDPS may collect the following personal and sensitive information, together with other relevant information through the forms that we provide when you apply for employment or request for the product or service we provide:

  • Basic personal information, such as but not limited to Full name, email address, contact number, employment information for identification purposes, billing, and receipt of payment for product or service rendered.
  • Financial details, such as Bank Account you have provided as a result of our transaction.

MDPS Facility

MDPS maintains video surveillance footage on strategic areas in grounds and buildings for security monitoring and as a safety precaution.

Web cookies

When you visit our website, your web browser will store a piece of data on your computer known as “cookies”. Third-party cookies for Google Analytics measure and ‘remember’ user-interaction on our website. This helps us track and report website traffic and helps us optimize our online presence.

How we use your personal data

All personal data collected shall be used by MDPS for the following purposes:

  • To contact you about your request for service or product we provide;
  • To process your order and other incidental request;
  • To process your payment and/or refund;
  • To provide services and products tailored to your laboratory requirements;

  • To establish and execute a contract agreement between MDPS and data subject.

Employee data are used to manage payroll, healthcare, and benefits processing.

Confidentiality

Any information we collect from you is treated as personal information and with confidentiality. Only the data subject and the authorized representative(s) of MDPS will have access to such personal data, for a lawful purpose. We do not share your personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals except in the following situations:

Legal requirements. This includes meeting applicable laws or enforced regulations, investigating violations of the terms of service, and protection of institutional rights or those of other individuals.

Security

MDPS warrants that appropriate technical, organizational, and physical measures are in place to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of your personal data against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.

Storage & Retention

When your Personal Data is no longer needed for the purpose which the data was initially obtained, MDPS shall take reasonable steps to destroy, permanently de-identify or anonymize it. As such, Personal Data will be stored in files which we will keep for up to Ten (10) Years.

How you can access and control the personal information we maintain about you

You have the right to reasonable access to your personal data being processed by MDPS and dispute the inaccuracy or errors in your personal information. You also have the right to complain and be indemnified for any damages sustained due to inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, false, unlawfully obtained, or unauthorized use of personal data.

You may request for the suspension, withdrawal, blocking, removal, or destruction of your personal information if they were processed illegally or if there are no overriding legitimate grounds for such processing. We will delete your personal information at your request if it is no longer necessary to retain them and if you withdraw your consent which formed the basis of your personal information processing.

  • The right to access his/her personal information.
  • The right to make corrections to his/her personal information.
  • The right to object to the processing of his/her personal information.
  • The right to erasure or blocking of his/her personal information.

  • The right to damages.
  • The right to lodge a complaint before the National Privacy Commission.
